The ENSYSTRA consortium is looking for an Early Stage researchers (ESRs) for the interdisciplinary ENSYSTRA training network. The position, which focuses on energy market modelling, is available in the School of Engineering at the University of Edinburgh. This ESR will perform research on energy market design, using optimisation and equilibrium modelling techniques, follow the ENSYSTRA training programme consisting of annual summer schools and workshops, and participate in two industrial and one academic secondment abroad. The ESR will be registered as a PhD student in the School of Engineering, and will submit a PhD thesis at the end of the project.
The post will be taken up in February 2019 or as soon as possible thereafter and is for 3 years. Candidates should hold a good undergraduate degree in mathematics, economics, engineering, or a related discipline and meet PhD admissions requirements and EU mobility requirements. Experience in economic or electrical modelling, programming, and/or optimization and or equilibrium modelling is desirable.
